The (FAA) Federal Aviation Administration is looking for a talented Information Security specialist on an urgent basis to join our team and play a vital role in guarding our nation’s critical aviation infrastructure.

In this role, you will:

  1. Develop, implement, and maintain information security programs, policies procedures, and tools.
  2. Lead or participate in vulnerability, risk, and threat assessments.
  3. Ensure system security measures comply with FAA security orders and government policies.
  4. Maintain systems security documentation throughout the system lifecycle. To detect possible threats actively mitigate all vulnerabilities.

 

To qualify, you must have:

  1. U.S. Citizenship (required)
  2. A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  3. Experience with IT security principles and best practices.
  4. Strong analytical skills that can solve problems and point out threats.
  5. Excellent communication and emotional intelligence to drive the team towards the predefined target.
  6. The power to describe technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical hierarchies.

Depending on the role, additional requirements are included:

Industry-recognized cyber security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISA).Experience with aviation cybersecurity 

 (Desired by higher levels).
